Vice Dean I
Dr. dr. Ida Royani, M.Kes, MHPE

Under the leadership of Dr. dr. Ida Royani, the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Muslim Indonesia (FK-UMI), continues to strengthen its position as a competitive institution both academically and non-academically. Her role as Vice Dean I encompasses the development and enhancement of academic quality, curriculum innovation, and continuous improvement in teaching and learning processes.

Dr. Ida Royani is deeply committed to fostering an academic environment that aligns with international medical education standards while remaining grounded in Islamic values. She actively promotes evidence-based education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the implementation of modern learning methodologies such as student-centered learning (SCL) and competency-based curriculum (CBC).

Under her supervision, FK-UMI has expanded opportunities for student development, academic excellence, and research collaboration at both national and international levels. Vice Dean II
dr. Shulhana Mokhtar, M.Med.Ed.

As Vice Dean II, dr. Shulhana Mokhtar, M.Med.Ed. plays a pivotal role in managing academic administration, financial planning, and the operational aspects of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Muslim Indonesia (FK-UMI). Her leadership ensures that every academic activity and institutional process runs effectively, transparently, and in alignment with the principles of good governance (good faculty governance).

Dr. Shulhana is also deeply committed to integrating Islamic values into every layer of academic and professional education. She believes that medical education should not only develop intellectual and clinical competence but also nurture the spiritual and moral character of future physicians. The curriculum under her supervision emphasizes akhlaq, integrity, and compassion — qualities that reflect the identity of FK-UMI as an Islamic-based medical institution.

Through her guidance, FK-UMI continually refines its competency-based and student-centered learning system, ensuring that graduates are not only skillful and knowledgeable but also uphold ethical and Islamic medical principles in their professional practice. Vice Dean III
dr. Irna Diyana Kartika K, M.Kes, Sp.PK, Ph.D

As Vice Dean III, dr. Irna Diyana Kartika K oversees student affairs, alumni relations, and community engagement at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Muslim Indonesia (FK-UMI). Her leadership reflects a strong commitment to nurturing students who are not only academically competent but also socially responsible and spiritually grounded.

Under her guidance, FK-UMI continues to strengthen its alumni network, ensuring that graduates maintain a lifelong connection with their alma mater. The success of FK-UMI alumni—now spread across numerous provinces in Indonesia—is a testament to the faculty’s dedication to producing medical professionals who serve with integrity, compassion, and devotion to religion, the nation, and humanity.

Dr. Irna also encourages active student participation in social and clinical outreach programs, cultivating a culture of service and empathy that aligns with the Islamic values embedded in the institution’s philosophy. Through her leadership, FK-UMI remains steadfast in developing future doctors who are not only skilled but also carry the noble mission of contributing to the health and welfare of society.

Vice Dean IV
Dr. dr. Rachmat Faisal Syamsu, M.Kes, CIP,FISPH, FISCM

As Vice Dean IV, Dr Rachmat Faisal Syamsu leads with renewed dedication to embed the Islamic worldview and dakwah mission into every facet of the Faculty’s life. Under his stewardship, FK-UMI reaffirms its commitment to produce not only doctors of high clinical and scientific competence, but above all Muslim doctors whose knowledge is applied in action (berilmu amaliah), whose deeds reflect scientific learning (beramal ilmiah), and whose character shines with noble morals and ethics (berakhlakul karimah).

Dr Rachmat promotes a holistic educational paradigm where medical training is harmonized with spiritual development and community service. He ensures that the curriculum, the clinical training, the research agenda and the community engagement programmes consistently reflect the values of compassion, integrity and accountability rooted in the Islamic tradition. He champions the idea that every FK-UMI graduate must serve not only as a competent clinician but also as a bear­er of ethical leadership, a contributor to public health, and an ambassador of faith-based professionalism.

In his tenure, FK-UMI’s programmes of cooperation with hospitals, community health centres and international partners have expanded, with a focus on reinforcing the identity of the Muslim medical professional who is ready to meet global challenges with moral strength, scientific excellence and a spirit of service. Under Dr Rachmat’s guidance, FK-UMI continues to move toward its vision of a world-class Islamic medical faculty — moulding doctors who heal with skill, lead with character, and live by faith.
