Faculty Leadership
Since its establishment in 1992, the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Muslim Indonesia (FK-UMI) has upheld a leadership model founded on Islamic values, professionalism, and principles of good governance. Leadership at FK-UMI is not only administrative in nature but also serves as a moral and spiritual example for the entire academic community in realizing the university’s vision of becoming a distinguished, dignified, and world-class institution in medical education.
From its inception, the leadership model of FK-UMI has adopted a collective-collegial approach, where decision-making is based on deliberation, scholarly reasoning, and a spirit of togetherness in fulfilling the Tri Dharma of Higher Education—education, research, and community service. This leadership philosophy is further guided by the organizational culture of IHSAN (Islamic, Humanistic, Courteous, Trustworthy, and Natural), which embodies the character and ethics of all academic and non-academic activities within the faculty.
The leadership structure of FK-UMI consists of the Dean, Vice Deans, and Heads of Study Programs, each responsible for strategic areas of academic and institutional development. Together, they play a synergistic role in fostering a conducive academic environment, enhancing the quality of medical education, and strengthening Islamic values in both medical practice and community engagement.
To this day, the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Muslim Indonesia, continues to uphold a tradition of visionary and adaptive leadership, focused on community-based healthcare, the advancement of medical research, and the development of competent, ethical, and globally competitive graduates.
